Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see so clearly

Chorus:
Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing Your praise
Than when we first begun

Wow God continues to bless me and I'm constantly in awe of his power, and I'm even more amazed that he would give me grace despite my failings.

"We are more sinful than we know, but more forgiven than we can ever imagine."

The devotions Mr. Vreken gave were sort of a wake up call for me,  how we are so concerned with the local church, which important, but we seem to overlook the people that endure so much persecution for their faith in countries throughout the world. What kind of testimony does it give for us to be ignoring our brothers and sisters in Christ in countries in which Christianity results in death? What would we do if we were faced with a painful death and the only way out was recanting Christianity? Would church be packed on Sundays if there was a constant threat of terrorism?

Please pray for the persecuted church.

Everything that has been going on has impacted a lot of people, and it is only appropriate to mourn with them, and to encourage them. Meagan Thomas wrote a myspace post that i think i should share with everyone. I know its long, but i would strongly suggest reading it.

it will be alright:dedication to the car crash.
Current mood:
sympathetic

I do not know the whole story behind the whole crash, nor do I know who was involved, but I do know this...

GOD HAS A PLAN.

everything he has planned in our lives, doesn't always happen the way we thought it would . Sometimes it is shocking, and that is why you always need to know where you are spiritually because he can take life from you within a second.

Will it be easy? no, it will be very hard. and we WILL suffer emotionally. it is normal to cry, and be hurt. feeling all of the emotions you are feeling is alright. I'm not telling you to stop crying and suck it up. because without these emotions, where is your heart? And better yet, where are the hearts of those who we have lost, or those who are suffering as we speak? Christians, this is why you need to get your act together!

Don't lose sight of the fact that God is in control.

Lord knows we have all done wrong, and will continue to do wrong. It's called sin. hello we are not perfect...and for anyone who thinks they are I would like to meet them, because the only one who I know of that is perfect is Jesus Christ himself. The point I'm trying to make is, its CRUCIAL to ask for forgiveness. REPENT, its ALRIGHT. God will wash away your past, and allow you a new start as many times as it takes. As long as you come with an open heart, and a yearning for the Lord. Ask forgiveness, before it is too late. I ask everyday, because I mess up everyday.

CHRISTIANS, WHERE IS THE LOVE?

where do you stand in your friends lives? Are you their moral support, or just their sidekick that makes them look good walking down the halls? HELP THOSE IN NEED. yes I am guilty of it. I miss opportunities all the time. HERE IS YOUR CHANCE. lead your friends to Christ through your actions. show them the right way, and the Godly way to live. When they see you're light, they will want to have it too. Don't make the mistake of allowing a friend to go to hell, without you trying to lead them the right way. The right way, which is the only way for me, is towards the gates of Heaven, where Jesus Christ, my king who died for EVERYONES sake, remains.

Lord have mercy on all of us.

-------------------------------------------------

I also felt that i should give some scripture

Matthew 5:3-10
3
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
 4Blessed are those who mourn,
      for they will be comforted.
 5Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
      for they will be filled.
 7Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart,
      for they will see God.
 9Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” C.S. Lewis

“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.” C.S. Lewis

Please keep Luke's family and close friends in your prayers, and please pray for the others in the accident that were seriously injured

Ya ad the last weekend was the Homecoming festivities: Thursday night was fun, Fridays Homecoming game was awesome, although it wasnt as close as last year.

Saturday was the HC dance. Some people met at Rachel Coopers house to take hangout, eat, and take pictures. Then we caravaned to the dance, and it was FUN TO THE MAX. Ya those carazy robot kids made an appearance, and then a large group went to Tee Lairs for an after party, the guys spent the night and the girls spend the night at Sarahs. The next morning some of the guys cooked breakfast for the girls and brought it over, then we went to church. Ya that night was the Super Bowl which i spend at Joshes w/ some guys. Great weekend
